The list is short enough to publish in full. Analytics and advertising are both off until you turn them on, and the banner's reject button is exactly as prominent as its accept button.

Analytics cookies

If you allow analytics, Google Analytics sets its first-party _ga cookies to recognise a returning browser. If you decline, or simply have not answered, the Google Analytics tag does not load and no analytics cookie is set.

We use the measurement to see which pages help; Google Analytics 4 does not store IP addresses. It is a separate choice from advertising: allowing one never enables the other.

Advertising cookies

If you allow advertising, Google Ads conversion measurement runs so we can see which of our own campaigns lead to enquiries. It sets Google's conversion cookies, including a first-party _gcl_aw cookie that remembers the ad click that brought you here. We do not run remarketing or build cross-site profiles.

Until you allow this category, Google Consent Mode keeps every advertising storage type denied, so the tags stay inert even though the tag container loads.

Functional cookies

Two kinds of functional cookie exist, neither set for ordinary visitors. aegalis-preview grants named reviewers access while a page is in preparation — it lasts seven days and is only set when a reviewer uses an access link. When a content editor previews an unpublished draft, the standard Next.js and Sanity draft-mode cookies (__prerender_bypass and sanity-preview-*) are also set; they too require an editor's access link.

What we do not set

No remarketing pixels, no social-media trackers, no session-recording tools, no third-party analytics beyond Google, and no cookies from embedded content networks. If a future change adds a cookie, it will be added to this page the day it ships.
